This March, 2010, Britax introduced their Frontier 85 in the United States only. This Britax booster seat is a new combination booster seat for children.
The main difference where the new version differs from the old Frontier, is that it will accommodate heavier children both in the 5-point harness and as a belt-positioning booster seat. The Britax Frontier 85 booster is a comfy booster that looks great as well as being as safe as it can be.
As US states are increasing the age in which booster seats should be used, then this seat comes into it’s own. Where this seat comes in to it’s own, is that it can be used for much longer and therefore may be cheaper in the long run. There are of course much cheaper comfy boosters out there, but these tend not to include a 5-point harness.

The usual cause is due to faulty central heating and boiler systems, gas appliances, blocked flues and chimneys; car exhaust fumes are also a common cause of carbon monoxide poisoning if they are leaking into your car
With the summer holiday season fast approaching, you need to remember that all these risks still apply when you are travelling; staying in hotels, villas, apartments, camping and caravanning. We all take it for granted that safety checks have been completed, and appliances are working correctly, but perhaps we sometimes need to take some responsibility ourselves. If you do not feel confident leaving these checks to other people then take your own battery operated mini travel carbon monoxide alarm with you on holiday, whether your going abroad or staying in the UK
Taking a portable device with you, will enable you to keep a check on the safety of the rooms you are staying in yourself rather than having to rely on others, especially if you are travelling with infants or young children who are more vulnerable, as with the elderly
Carbon monoxide is often referred to as the silent killer; it is an odourless, tasteless, toxic gas, and therefore is not easily detected. The travel / portable alarm detects carbon monoxide at a very low level; which has been tested by SIRA and has CE approval. It has been designed especially for travel; it is a small, compact, light weight little gadget, with a loud alarm. It has a small lanyard attached so it can be hung anywhere, no need to worry about attaching it to the wall or ceiling
Carbon monoxide (CO) gas is measured in parts per million (PPM) and the travel / portable carbon monoxide detector will activate when the poisonous gas it detected at a low level range of exposure 50 – 60 ppm, so it reacts quickly when the gas is present
Do watch out for the following symptoms which may be related to CO poisoning
• 35 ppm – The maximum allowable concentration for continuous exposure for healthy adults
• 200 ppm – Slight headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea after 2 – 3 hours
• 400 ppm – Frontal headaches within 1 – 2 hours, life threatening after 3 hours
• 800 ppm – Dizziness, nausea and convulsions within 45 minutes, unconsciousness within 2 hours, death within 3 hours
• 1600 ppm – Headache, dizziness and nausea within 20 minutes, death within an hour
