Hi all,
Just so you know, I firmly believe that most mothers out there have nightmares that something could happen to their children. Of course this is nature’s own way of protecting us and we will go to any length to make sure our babies grow to be happy and healthy.
When I was small, car seats were not around and being the smallest of 3, I had to sit on the wheel arch in the back! If car seats had been around, the car just wouldn’t have been big enough. Humour aside, when we were involved in what could have been a very bad accident, we were lucky that my dad had been such a good driver as he managed to steer the car away so he got most of the impact of the collision. Wasn’t so good for him or his bones, but at least we were all OK which made him happy. Dazed and bruised, but OK.
Thankfully, when I began to increase the population, car seats were starting to become more common and I was quick to get them. OK, so big businesses make a lot of money out of our fears, but on the plus side, they have thrown a lot of money at research in to the latest technological advances to protect children. For me, after researching the markets and using the products I believe these particular seats offer the protection needed at a good price.
Of course I wouldn’t be as forthright as to suggest you must get them, but the Britax Duo Plus Isofix range are certainly worth checking out as they have a very good reputation and were awarded recommended status by the Which magazine this year (2009) and quite a few other awards.
